Take on big projects first
At the start of your day, take on the biggest project you have to complete and get it done. What most of us do is check our email and slowly get started with the day, leaving a big project until later. Why not get it done first? Finishing a project or just facing a task that you’ve been avoiding will give you a boost of confidence and a sigh of relief once it’s finally finished.
It might seem like the answer to work on different projects at the same time, but this is actually counter-productive. Most of us just aren’t very good at multitasking, which will pave the way for us to forget about tasks that we were supposed to complete and ultimately not getting much done within the day. Focus on one thing at a time and don’t move onto something else until that one thing is done.
Wake up early
The biggest boost you can give your day is to wake up a couple hours earlier than you normally would have to. Instead of waking up and giving yourself just enough time to get to work on time, jump start your day by making use of the time you’d be spending in bed. Not only will you be able to get more things done because there’s more time in the morning, you’ll give yourself a hike in confidence throughout the day because you’ll already have already gotten some tasks done while everyone else was asleep.
Create a balance between work and life
It would seem that in order to be successful in today’s business world, it must also be important to give up free time towards your goals. Though entrepreneurs certainly work over the average 40 hour work week, it’s just as important to strike a balance between work and life. Make sure to make time for friends, family, and the interests you have outside of work. This will allow you to come back stronger each day and feel refreshed, rather than overworked.
